Cabbage Patch Kids Parents Association !!!! 1984 & Birth Certificate

I've found lots of fun Cabbage Patch Kids items lately and you know how I love those little advertising booklets!  This one is super cute.  It was all one piece with two sides, but it scanned better this way.

I want this kit SO BAD!!!

Why were Cabbage Patch Kids always born on the 1st of the month?
And mostly in August-November?  Is that when cabbages are harvested?

Haul Videos GALORE!!! It's garage sale season, and I've been BUSY!! ~ VIDEO

It's summer around here and that means one thing, GARAGE SALES!!!  I've been out every weekend and garage sales, flea markets and thrift stores, searching for the good stuff.  I've made quite a few haul videos lately.  They seem to be all the rage right now.  I love watching what people found in their shopping trips!  Check 'em out.

All Cabbage Patch, all the time!

This was a fun haul from a collector's show I went to a few weeks ago.

LOVE the Disney Store!  Especially the outlet!

I loved the Cabbage Patch Kids!  They came out in 1983. These little posables are so sweet.  I found a great bag of them.  Check 'em out!

Cabbage Patch Kids 1987

In 1987 I was 11.  Maybe a little old for Cabbage Patch Dolls, but I still loved them and played with them daily.  I had Cabbage Patch Sheets. The dolls were all set up and dressed in my room, sitting in their Playpen.  I only took my dolls down and put them away when I was 13 and some friends from school came over and told me it looked like a 3 year old's room.  The next day they were all bagged up and put into the attic.

Cabbage Patch Kids 1st Birthday Card

If you were lucky enough to have a new Cabbage Patch Kid in the early 80's the first thing you did was send in the birth certificate so you could "officially adopt" your new kid.  During the next year, on their birthday, which was always the first of a month, you would get this card in the mail.  I want to say it had some stickers in it too.

I also changed my kids names, because they often had some pretty funky names in the box.

I stopped getting cards after the first year.   I guess they don't care that much about Cabbage Patch Adults.
