Mr. Ed Feedbag from Nick At Night

I remember sitting and watching hour upon hour of reruns on Nick at Nite. Brady Bunch, Beverly Hillbillies, Gilligan's Island, and Mr. Ed were some of my favorite.  One night this commercial came on for the Mr. Ed Feedbag, and I felt that it was something I HAD TO HAVE!  I missed the phone number and never saw the commercial again.  Ever since that day, over 20 years ago, I've been looking for one.  This hit ebay the other day and I didn't bid high enough.  Ding Dang!!!

Stranger Things ~ All About the 80's Pop Culture! ~ I LOVE IT!

The Stranger Things series is available on Netflix.  Not sure if it will be available anywhere else in the future.  It's an 8 part series about a group of kids that go on an adventure.  Already sound like some of your favorite 80's movies?  One of the more obvious references in the show is the undeniable homages to Stephen King. You don't have to be a child of the 80's, or even get all of the references to enjoy the show.  It will leave you wanting MORE!  Reportedly, there will be a season 2.

This video does a great job of explaining 95% of the references.  While I think some of their ideas are a stretch, I do feel they missed a few.  This video is CRAZY WITH SPOILERS, so don't watch it if you haven't seen the show.  Go watch the show and then come back to the video to see if you recognized all of the references.  If not, you might just have to watch it again, like I'm about to!

Do you watch The Outsiders on WGN?

Like many other channels, WGN has started making some of their own shows. One of those shows is called, "The Outsiders".  The show is about a clan living in the hills in Kentucky.  They don't live in the modern world, but a mining company wants to force them off of their mountain.  It's pretty interesting and very entertaining.  The show stars Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy) who plays Little Foster, David Morse who plays Big Foster, and Kyle Gallner who play Hasil Farrell.

My sister has made a Hasil Farrell doll and he is currently for sale on Etsy.

Sons of Anarchy Action Figures - VIDEO

You might already know that Sons of Anarchy is my favorite show, or it was.  The show ended last year, sadly.  But it lives on in merchandising!  Mezco Toys came out with a line of SOA toys that is amazing.  I got Opie Winston and Jax Teller for Christmas this year.  My favorite part of them is that they come with little knives, with little knife holsters and they have kung fu knife fighting grip, to hold their knives.  I wonder if they are going to come out with some rival MC figures so that you can have a fun play knife fight? Opie and Jax certainly aren't going to fight each other.  We're in luck though.  They do have Clay and Gemma figures they may have to defend themselves against.  You can even get Jax and Clay in prison uniforms.

Sons of Anarchy is my favorite show. I miss it! I got these great action figures for Christmas. They are well made and have lots of great detail.

Bring Back Mystery Science Theater 3000 - MST3K

This was such a fun show.  I am totally obsessed with classic horror because of all of the ridiculousness of it all, and this show did a great job of pointing out the silliness and making goofy jokes about it all.  Recently the creator and host of the show started a Kickstarter campaign to reboot the show.  I love the idea that fans can come together and bring back something they love.  It's over half way backed with 30 days left, so it looks pretty good.  Hooray!

Hedstrom Bike Catalog 1983

What's better than ET Shoes, you ask?  An ET Bike!  With a basket in the front!  Awesome!  Forget the shoes, I'll take one of these!

Those training wheels would be helpful.  I haven't ridden a bike in years.

You know I am a Strawberry Shortcake fanatic.
I actually have this bike hanging from the ceiling in my Strawberry Shortcake room!

YES!!! Fly through the air on the General Lee, just like Bo and Luke, or Vance and Coy, whichever Duke Boys you prefer.

Oh my gosh!  I need that trailer!
BMX Trike.  I can just see the toddlers jumping the giant dirt mounds!

Tea Party! I have the rocker with SSC face on it, but I pretty much cannot live without the rest of this stuff!

Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Starts Tuesday!

0

I love this show.   Yes, it is based on a Biker Gang, and while many might think that isn't their kind of show, me included, it is truly amazing.  The writer and creator Kurt Sutter does a fantastic job of making these outlaws into perfect anti-heroes.  The writing is done so well that you have a roller coaster of emotions with every show. You laugh, cry, get angry, anxious, feel devastated and hopeful, all within the same episode. In addition to superb writing, the acting is fantastic.  There are some real emmy moments on this show.  It's truly sad that this show isn't the recipient of the industry accolades it deserves.

The real basis of the story is relationships, friends, family and brotherhood.  If you haven't seen it, check out the first season on Netflix.  If you can get passed the language and violence, the deeper story will grab you and hold on! And if you are into action, you will get plenty of it here! A warning though, each season is only 13 episodes, you have to enjoy every moment.

Sons of Anarchy airs Tuesdays at 10pm on FX.
